Stop off at the La Condamine Market

There’s nothing quite like joining the locals at the La Condamine Market in the morning, just as they’re thinking about the dishes they’ll be cooking up. It’s as much a meeting place as it is the perfect spot for lunch, where you can savour local specialities such as barbagiuàn, pissaladière or fougasse. Set below the Rock, in the shadow of the Prince's Palace, Place de La Condamine is home to a host of cafés and restaurants, making it the ideal spot for a gourmet break.
Please note that the La Condamine market hall closed its doors in early 2025 for a year of refurbishment and modernisation. A temporary market is now in place on the Place d’Armes to ensure business continues as usual.

In the heart of a region where oyster farms are few and far between, Les Perles de Monte-Carlo offers a simple yet gourmet experience to savour exceptional oysters farmed in Monaco, as well as all manner of seafood, from clams to sea bream. Lovers of local experiences can satisfy their curiosity by stepping inside the Chocolaterie de Monaco , an institution founded in 1920 and a Certified Supplier to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince. Monégasque couronnes, rochers princiers and other gianduiotti are to be savoured on the spot or taken home to tempt the taste buds of friends and family.

At Port Hercule, overlooking the sea, the Brasserie de Monaco invites you to sample its beer, brewed on the premises using organic malts, in a festive atmosphere. A moment of relaxation and conviviality in the heart of the Principality, quite unlike any other.

Immerse yourself in the flavours of Monaco

Under the pine trees of the Place du Palais, Castelroc invites you to discover its Mediterranean cuisine inspired by local traditions, notably Monegasque-style stockfish, or ‘stocafi’. A must-try dish that can also be found as you wander through the colourful streets of the Old town, at La Montgolfière restaurant, with its menu featuring traditional dishes given a modern twist. Still in Monaco-Ville, the new restaurant Aux Deux Moines serves local cuisine: where you can enjoy socca, petits farcis, barbagiuans, pan bagna and pissaladière. Nestled amongst the narrow streets of the Rock, U Cavagnetu has been an institution since 1967 and has been serving up Monegasque dishes for three generations. At Port Hercule, U Luvassu offers a menu directly inspired by the morning’s catch: fresh fish, Mediterranean lobsters and seafood platters, all served in a setting that is as idyllic as it is relaxed.
