Dive into the Mediterranean with the Monegasque Sea Academy

From first dives to snorkelling excursions, the Académie Monégasque de la Mer offers everyone the chance to dive into the Mediterranean! The establishment, run by Pierre Frolla, world record-holder in freediving, also offers freediving courses and even water rescue courses for young and old alike. Located at Larvotto, the Monegasque Academy of the Sea offers visitors the chance to discover the Principality's seabed, and in particular the splendid underwater landscapes of the Larvotto Reserve. Visitors who prefer to stay afloat can opt for a stand-up paddle session. It couldn't be easier: six boards are available for self-service, stored in a box and bookable via the Equip Sport app.

Feeling like a fish in water at the Stade Nautique Rainier III

Head for the Stade Nautique Rainier III ! Open during the summer season, this open-air swimming pool is located in the heart of the town, opposite Port Hercule. Perfect for beginners and experienced swimmers alike, who can enjoy this Olympic-size pool with filtered, treated seawater heated to 27°C. There's also an area with diving boards and a slide, the perfect way to round off a sports session!

Play a game of pétanque in Monaco Ville

It's an experience you don't necessarily think about... but it is possible to play a game of pétanque during your stay in the Principality! Located in Monaco-Ville and nestling beneath a pine forest, the Club Bouliste du Rocher has two courts where you can indulge in the pleasures of this Provençal sport. The Solarium beach, a dyke converted into a beach at Port Hercule, is ideal for yoga sessions, with a clear horizon, a sea breeze and the Mediterranean as a backdrop. The Larvotto seaside complex also offers an ideal setting for sunbathing, whether from the promenade Louise-Hippolyte or directly on the beach. The Giru de Natale : a well-known local running race that attracts almost 2,000 runners every year. Organised in mid-December in a friendly atmosphere, it gives Sunday runners and experienced runners the chance to cover a large part of the Formula 1 circuit in short strides. It's a unique race on a closed road, where you're likely to come across smiling joggers with their shoes on and... Christmas hats on!

Enjoy the Mediterranean coastal paths just outside Monaco

The Côte d'Azur has many treasures to offer... starting with the coastal paths that can be explored on foot from the Principality. The Cap d'Ail coastal path leads past the port of Fontvieille, the port of Cap d'Ail and Plage Marquet. A seaside setting as unspoilt as it is magnificent, where exotic species, dream villas and geological curiosities mingle. On the other side of Monaco, Cap Martin reveals its wild coastline, with views over the sea and the Principality. The trail also provides an opportunity to visit a unique architectural ensemble: Cap Moderne, comprising villa E-1027 and the cabanon built by Le Corbusier.
