Seasonal delights

Santo Gelato distils its know-how in Place d'Armes, where the sorbets are made from fruit sourced directly from the stalls at the Condamine market, and the cones and biscuits served are produced locally in the Jardin Exotique district. Down the road, in Rue Caroline, Gelato Crea offers its natural, artisanal Italian ice creams made with fresh fruit, as does Rossi - La bottega del gelato, where you can indulge in its traditional products in Place Sainte-Dévote. Near Square Gastaud, in the Condamine district, Villa Portofino is home to La Gelateria. Here you'll find ice creams and full-fruit sorbets, all made in La Turbie with natural ingredients. For a refreshing break with a view of the yachts, head for Port Hercule and the Häagen-Dazs shop, with its unique recipes and warm atmosphere. The Larvotto seaside resort also has its own Glacier, set up on the water's edge since 1967, so you can enjoy a sunny break with your feet in the sand.

What could be better than a teq time in winter? The Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo serves its gourmet tea-time comfortably seated on the soft benches of its lobby bar designed by Jacques Garcia. As for the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, it offers a chic gourmet break in the Eiffel Mezzanine for a journey to elegant tea-time pleasures. At the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, you can savour teas and pastries at the Bar Américain for a cosy tea time in a unique décor and a jazzy 1920s atmosphere. Le Mada One, at One Monte-Carlo, delights everyone's taste buds with a sweet interlude from two-starred chef Marcel Ravin. Finally, on the seafront at Larvotto or Boulevard des Moulins, Pasticceria Cova offers tea time in a warm, typically Italian setting.
