The Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie unveils its first edition

Stéphane Valeri, Chairman and CEO of Groupe Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) and co-founder of the event, and Jean-Philippe Braud, co-founder and Director of the GPHJ, spoke about the ambition and philosophy behind the creation of the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie: The Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie is a tribute to excellence in jewellery, celebrating the most remarkable skills and offering Haute Joaillerie a stage commensurate with its heritage and its role in the world of contemporary creation.

The presentation served as a reminder that this unique event will bring together for one evening, in the sumptuous and historic setting of the Salle des Étoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo, the men and women who make Fine Jewellery live and shine on a global scale: the directors of the greatest Houses and their muses, the jeweller dynasties that are the guardians of rare traditions, the art craftsmen who are the holders of exceptional know-how, the representatives of the countries that produce precious stones from Africa to Asia, but also emerging talents, patrons and decision-makers in the luxury sector, who will be joined by passionate amateurs and great collectors, to whom the GPHJ is open by registration.

Major groups and Haute Joaillerie houses on hand

To date, eleven major names in Fine Jewellery have already confirmed their participation in this first edition: Anna Hu, Boucheron, Buccellati, Bulgari, Chanel, Chopard, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Messika and Tiffany & Co. This exceptional line-up illustrates the international and unifying vocation of the GPHJ, conceived as a universal celebration of jewellery excellence, at the crossroads of history and innovation.

A free exhibition of unique pieces and a Public Prize

During the three days preceding the gala evening, each participating House will exhibit one or two pieces from its Fine Jewellery collection in the window of its Monegasque address, inviting residents and visitors alike to take a stroll through the streets of the city, full of surprises and wonder. At the same time, the Café de la Rotonde du Casino will be the setting for exceptional pieces entrusted by the Houses for a unique public exhibition.

The list of addresses and visuals of the pieces on display in the boutiques and at the Casino will be available on the dedicated GPHJ website : gphj-monaco.com

Via this site and an application accessible throughout the city by QR code, members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite piece. On the evening of 25 October, the play with the most votes will be awarded the Prix du Public.
