The Casino de Monte-Carlo has once again excelled at the 2026 European Dealer Championship

After securing first place in the overall rankings thanks to Noémie Serra in 2024, and then winning the title of ‘Best Slot Machine Team’ for its two casinos in 2025, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer shone once again at the 2026 European Dealer Championship. This prestigious annual championship brings together nearly forty competitors from around twenty European countries, showcasing the expertise and excellence of the gaming professions.

This year, the two contestants from the Casino de Monte-Carlo once again flew the flag for the Group, putting their skills to good use in the English roulette and blackjack events. Manon Martire, a gaming attendant since 2022, secured third place in the Championship’s overall rankings. Christopher Elena, a gaming attendant since 2016, won two technical awards: Best Pushing Stacks (best at pushing stacks of chips) and Best Cutting Chips (best at handling chips), as well as three Side Event awards: Best Chipper, Best Card Handler and Best Mathematician.

These outstanding performances demonstrate not only the talent of the two competitors, but also the excellence of the ‘Jeux’ training programme provided by the Monte-Carlo SBM Academy. Led by Christophe Teissier, Director of Planning, Training and Assessment for Gaming, assisted by Alexis Schroeter, Head of Training & Assessment for Gaming, and Jean-René Manfredi, Gaming Training & Assessment Coordinator, this training programme – the only one of its kind in the world – was established in the 2014–2015 academic year. Spanning nine years and covering the six premium games (Blackjack, Texas Hold’em Ultimate Poker, English Roulette, Craps, Punto Banco and European Roulette), this programme—which has no entry qualification requirements—is fully in keeping with the DNA of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group: the passing on of expertise. Trained by their peers, successive generations of gaming staff have followed in one another’s footsteps, guided by the same commitment to excellence, ever since the founding of the Casino de Monte-Carlo in 1863.

These awards confirm the title of ‘Best Overall Casino 2026’, which Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer received last January at the European Casino Awards ceremony during the ICE Barcelona 2026 trade show.
