Launch of the ‘Ma Place PMR’ app

The “Ma Place PMR” app complements the transport support scheme for people with reduced mobility in the Principality

Following the launch of the Street Nav app last October, the Principality has introduced a complementary digital tool to support inclusive mobility: the “Ma Place PMR” interface.

This system enables the geolocation and near-real-time monitoring of the availability of surface-level PRM parking spaces, in order to facilitate travel for users holding a dedicated parking permit.

To date, 64 of the 73 identified spaces have been fitted with the system, and the project is due to be completed in 2026.

“MaPlacePMR is fully in line with the Prince’s Government’s Handipact policy, an initiative designed to be proactive, collaborative, involving everyone and for everyone,” emphasises Christophe Robino, Government Councillor and Minister.

The development of the project is a case in point, as it is the result of a collaborative effort between government departments on the one hand—the Department of Social Affairs and Health, the Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition, the Urban Planning Directorate – and private sector stakeholders – Monaco Telecom, Tickitall and Urbiotica – all of whom have rallied behind this innovative and inclusive project.

Furthermore, the Monegasque Association for People with Mobility Impairments took part in the practical trials, in line with the Handipact policy’s guiding principle of ‘nothing for us without us’.

The year 2025 will have seen the launch of two innovative digital solutions promoting mobility and accessibility, enabling people with disabilities to get around and park more easily within Monaco.
