Monopoly and Café Rotonde: the Casino de Monte-Carlo reinvents itself

A giant game board, a few tokens, houses and Hotels cleverly arranged, a wad of banknotes falling from the sky… The famous board game Monopoly makes its debut in the Atrium du Casino de Monte-Carlo, under the watchful eye of an impressive, three-metre-tall Mr Monopoly. Until 17 May 2026, players and visitors are invited to discover this brand-new display. But the magic doesn’t stop there: following the successful launch of the exclusive Monopoly Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer edition last December, players are now invited to a preview of the European launch of the new Monopoly Big Board Bucks slot machines by Aristocrat Gaming, this Friday 17 April at 7.30 pm. The event will take place at the Casino de Monte-Carlo, in the Salle Renaissance, for a special evening in the presence of Mr Monopoly himself. Eight slot machines will be unveiled; four of them will be installed on 20 April at the Casino Café de Paris, which also has a host of surprises in store for its players. Until 17 May, all members of the MyMonteCarlo programme can try their luck at winning over 8,000 prizes, worth a total of €100,000. The excitement of the game continues on social media from 20 April with “The Mystery of Mr Monopoly”, which can be found on the Instagram account @casinocafédeparis. A prize draw will select three lucky winners from among the correct answers, with the chance to win exclusive prizes.

Now open from 10am to 8pm with continuous service, and newly decorated with authentic slot machines from the 1930s, the Café Rotonde offers, in addition to its savoury menu, delicious pastries to enjoy on the premises, inspired by the world of gaming. Guests will particularly enjoy the three exclusive creations, devised by the Pôle Sucré at Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer: Le Smoking (72% dark chocolate cream and choux pastry), Le Dé de la Chance ( melting Piedmont hazelnut centre, soft biscuit and light praline cream) and La Carte à Jouer (caramelised puff pastry, tonka vanilla cream and local raspberries). A delicious selection of hot and cold drinks, including signature cocktails such as the Jackpot Monkey ( Monkey 47 Gin, Italicus, ginger syrup, grapefruit juice, grapefruit bitters, ginger beer and chamomile infusion), the Lucky Calabrese(Italicus, grapefruit juice, mandarin syrup and Mumm Champagne) or the Four Aces (Ketel One Vodka, lime & lemon marmalade, pineapple juice, grapefruit juice, grapefruit bitters and cinnamon syrup) will accompany the tasting.
