The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, recognised by the World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025
The ceremony for the third edition of the World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 took place in London on the evening of Thursday 30 October. This annual event brings together leading figures from the tourism and luxury hospitality sectors to honour the world’s fifty best Hotels. The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo features in this prestigious ranking, securing 36th place. Louis Starck, General Manager of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, was invited to the ceremony, accompanied by Vincent Chasseignaux, Hotel Manager.
This is yet another wonderful accolade for the Monegasque palace, which has just retained its three Michelin Keys and is regularly recognised for the excellence of its service and its exceptional offering, highlighted by the presence of two Michelin-starred restaurants, access to the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo and, of course, its close proximity to the legendary Casinos de Monte-Carlo and The Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Not to mention the hotel’s superb Diamond Suites, offering guests a stay like no other.
We are delighted and immensely proud to receive this award. This distinction highlights the exceptional offering of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer in Monaco and its iconic Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the jewel in the crown of Monegasque hospitality. For over 160 years, the staff of the legendary palace on the Place du Casino have been working every day to create unforgettable moments for our guests.
The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the jewel in the crown of Monegasque hospitality
Built in 1864, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, with its Belle Époque architecture, is one of the jewels of the iconic Place du Casino, described in these terms by the founder of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, François Blanc: “a hotel that surpasses everything that has been created to date.” 161 years later, that promise still holds true. The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo combines the art of haute cuisine, thanks to the Michelin-starred restaurants Le Louis XV - Alain Ducasse*** with its majestically decorated dining room, and Le Grill* with its panoramic view, with the resolutely modern creativity of Cedric Grolet Monte-Carlo, featuring a boutique and a tea room that opened in the heart of the patio last July. Not to mention Em Sherif Monte-Carlo, which showcases all the subtleties and refinement of Lebanese cuisine, overlooking the Mediterranean.
Completely renovated in 2020, following six years of work, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has further enhanced the quality of its stays with the creation of two exceptional new Diamond Suites: the Rainier III Suite and the Princess Grace Suite, offering panoramic views of the Principality. Beneath the hotel, the prestigious Cellars of the Hôtel de Paris, established in 1874 by Marie Blanc and recently renovated, house some 350,000 exceptional bottles, as well as a small museum where priceless vintage bottles are carefully preserved.
Steeped in history yet adapting to the changing tastes of its clientele, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has welcomed many international luminaries, from the Prince of Wales (the future Edward VII) to Alexandre Dumas, Jacques Offenbach, Maria Callas, Salvador Dalí, Sarah Bernhardt, Charlie Chaplin and, of course, Sir Winston Churchill.
Building on this history and its truly unique offering, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo stands out on the international stage thanks to the World’s 50 Best Hotels, highlighting the work carried out every day by its teams, but also that of every member of staff at the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group, which, for over 160 years, has consistently strived for excellence.
