Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and EHL Hospitality Business School celebrate their first cohort of certified staff

This is one of the first tangible outcomes of the partnership signed on 20 November 2024 between Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and EHL. On Thursday 5 March, the Salon Nirvana at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort hosted a ceremony to award certificates to 15 employees of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer who had completed a training course on emotional intelligence.

This programme, tailor-made by the EHL teams as part of this partnership, aims to raise participants’ awareness of the role of emotions in everyday working life and to harness them to improve engagement and job satisfaction, the quality of professional relationships and service quality, through a range of workshop modules exploring emotions from various angles. The Group’s certified participants, drawn from the senior management of the four Hotels, thus benefited from four group modules delivered in Monaco by EHL staff, as well as individual coaching sessions during the first quarter of 2025.

Following this initial success, the training will be offered again from the end of March to two further groups of SBM staff.

A partnership aimed at boosting the appeal of the hospitality sector

As a reminder, the partnership signed between Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and the EHL Hospitality Business School has a dual objective: to enhance the appeal of the hospitality sector, whilst encouraging the development of skills among Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer staff. This partnership between two institutions of excellence, founded over 160 and 130 years ago respectively, is structured around four key areas:

This certification, awarded by the EHL Hospitality Business School, enables its 15 Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer recipients to enrich and consolidate their professional development. This development is fully in line with the “We Are Monte-Carlo” employer brand initiative, rolled out by Sophie Vincent, Director of Human Resources, and her teams, under the leadership of President Valeri. The opportunity for staff to benefit from high-quality training complements other initiatives aimed at developing their professional skills, such as the creation of the “MYS Academy” e-learning platform.
