Exhibition: ‘From the Money Museum to the Stamp and Coin Museum’ 25 March to 26 April 2026

To mark its 30^th anniversary, the Museum of Stamps and Coins is presenting an exhibition entitled ‘From the Numismatic Museum to the Museum of Stamps and Coins’, inviting the public to delve into the heritage of this institution.

Organised in collaboration with the Prince's Palace, the exhibition highlights the existence of the first monetary museum, often little known to the general public, and helps visitors understand how it gradually evolved to become the current Museum of Stamps and Coins.

This exhibition showcases the significant and prestigious philatelic and numismatic collection of Prince Rainier III, a visionary sovereign and passionate philatelist, whose personal commitment has greatly contributed to the richness and international renown of Monaco’s collections.

Presented for a limited period, this anniversary exhibition highlights the museum’s role in preserving and promoting the Principality’s historical heritage, whilst emphasising the links between philately, numismatics and national history.

It offers a unique opportunity for collectors, history enthusiasts and anyone curious to discover or rediscover an important facet of Monaco’s cultural heritage.
