Exhibition: ‘A Journey Through Stamps’

Through a remarkable selection of over 180 postage stamps, and a rare postal document dating from 1870, exceptionally loaned by the Prince's Palace, the exhibition ‘Journey Through the Stamp’ invites the public on an immersive journey through time and space, tracing the major transport revolutions that have transformed our societies.

From the first messengers travelling the roads on foot or horseback to the most modern technologies, the exhibition reveals human ingenuity in constantly pushing back the boundaries of distance, speed and communication.

As genuine fragments of history, these philatelic artefacts alone tell the story of the profound changes in transport networks and the upheavals they have caused, both in the circulation of ideas and in the development of trade and social ties.

A specific section is devoted to the evolution of leisure and racing cars. Through the display of iconic racing cars, it traces the technical and aesthetic transformations of these vehicles from their inception to the present day, bearing witness to the enduring fascination with speed, performance and the spirit of independence embodied by motor racing.

Throughout this exhibition, visitors discover how the history of transport is reflected in philately, offering a multifaceted perspective—cultural, technical and artistic—on the human adventure.
