48th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival and 13th New Generation
An extraordinary edition!
The 48ᵉ edition of the Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo promises to be an exceptional event, bringing together acts of remarkable creativity and unparalleled virtuosity, where technical feats flirt with the extraordinary.
Nearly 200 artists from the four corners of the globe will be showcasing all the major circus disciplines: horsemanship and dressage, flying trapeze, hand-to-hand, teeter-totter jumping, contortion, juggling and much more.
Among the highlights of the programme, the Richter family will be presenting an elegant free-riding act, culminating in "La Poste", one of the most demanding and spectacular equestrian exercises. Latvian Andrejs Fjodorov will amaze the audience with a sumptuous pigeon training act, while the Chinese acrobatic troupe from Dalian will bring back to life the meteors, also known as shooting stars, a highly complex discipline dating back to the IIIᵉ millennium BC. Another striking moment: the impressive flights of the Mexican troupe led by Juan Cebolla. Humour will not be outdone, with Italian clown Davide Vassallo and the Toni Alexis family guaranteeing a joyful and warm atmosphere.
Entertainment will once again be provided by the Bingo troupe, with Petit Gougou as master of ceremonies.
Last but not least, the young artists revealed by the New Generation competition will be sharing the ring with established professionals, adding an extra dimension to this prestigious event.
A true celebration of the circus arts, this not-to-be-missed event promises a memorable experience, combining tradition, audacity and the emergence of tomorrow's talent in a whirlwind of emotions and spectacular feats.
