Getting involved

Discover the Principality's green heritage

The Jardin de la Petite Afrique, its location just a stone's throw from the Casino de Monte-Carlo and its astonishing tropical species. This is the starting point for the Heritage Tree Trail. As part of the "Monaco is committed to fighting deforestation" initiative, the Principality is offering locals and visitors alike the chance to discover the Principality's most beautiful heritage trees and stroll through its various gardens. Wollemi pine from Australia, bird of paradise from South Africa, ginkgo biloba from China... this trail through Fontvieille, Monaco-Ville and Monte-Carlo presents the 92 most remarkable specimens in the Principality.

Using soft mobility solutions

Soft mobility is a key concern in Monaco, and numerous efforts are being made to achieve the objectives set by the Sovereign, notably carbon neutrality by 2050. Hire of Monabike electrically assisted bicycles, hybrid buses, Mobee self-service electric car hire, electric boat buses across the harbour... there's always a solution. What's more, the Principality's calendar is packed with events highlighting soft mobility solutions: Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, Monaco e-Rallye, Monaco e-Prix and EVER Monaco...
