DAY 1
Arrival in Monaco
The summer season in the Principality: its parks and gardens in bloom, its shady gourmet terraces, its exceptional seaside resorts where you can relax to the sound of the waves... Monaco's art of living is reflected in its many unique experiences.
Morning
What better way to start your stay in Monaco than in one of its most authentic spots? In fine weather, the Condamine market reveals its most beautiful colours and flavours! One of the beating hearts of the Principality, it's well worth the diversions to enjoy local dishes such as barbagiuàn or fougasse, along the colourful stalls outside to smell the flowers, fruit and vegetables, or on the terraces of the cafés dotted around the square. It's the place to be if you want to soak up local life!
Once you've taken the pulse of the local population, head for Monaco-Ville via the Rampe Major staircase. On the Rock, the Oceanographic Museum imposes its silhouette as the guardian of the Mediterranean. Inaugurated in 1910, the museum is hosting an exhibition entitled "Méditerranée 2050". The event invites young and old alike to travel back in time, exploring an ideal future for the Mediterranean, rich in biodiversity, thanks to decisions taken today. It's a real call to action, highlighting the need to protect this unique and fragile ecosystem, while inspiring individual and collective commitment.
After your visit, you'll be swept away by the beauty of the Monaco-Ville district, with its shady Sainte-Barbe and Saint-Martin gardens overlooking the sea, its picturesque alleys and breathtaking panoramas.
Noon
The ritual is immutable and the spectacle is as memorable as it is renowned. Every day at precisely 11.55am in the Place du Palais, the Prince's Carabinieri perform the Changing of the Guard: a privileged rendezvous with the Principality's centuries-old history.
Behind the famous Guard stands the Prince's Palace, whose Grand Apartments can be visited from April to October. As an added bonus, visitors can admire the Italian Renaissance frescoes in the Throne Room, the unearthing of which is one of the biggest painting restoration projects in Europe!
