Chef Cédric Grolet is to become head pastry chef at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, and this summer will open a new address in the heart of the Monegasque establishment: Cédric Grolet Monte-Carlo. The patio of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo will also be home to the boutique, offering seasonal cakes, cookies and pastries. And if you're curious, a brand new pastry will be unveiled this summer, an exclusive creation in honour of HSH Prince Albert II.

After winning over the palates of gourmets in Nice, CAP 3000 and Cannes, pastry chef Philippe Tayac is opening an address in Monaco. Set up at 26 boulevard des Moulins in place of Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini, the 40 m² boutique is like a jewellery box. The brand's best-sellers, whose range changes regularly, include Scrat, hazelnut and chocolate tarts and puff pastry flans.

From this summer onwards, the Méridien Beach Plaza will be welcoming a new ephemeral and elegant address: the Café Lacoste. The beachfront establishment has teamed up with Riccardo Giraudi and the crocodile brand to offer a chic, relaxed venue overlooking the Mediterranean. Open in April only during the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, Café Lacoste will offer a gourmet experience with an exclusive selection of culinary creations. What's on the menu? Refined drinks such as signature lattes, club sandwiches and desserts in the brand's signature style.
Three new Michelin stars in Monaco
The Michelin Guide has unveiled its 2025 list of stars... and the constellation extends to Monaco. The Principality is shining even brighter with three new stars in the culinary firmament. L'Abysse Monte-Carlo, driven by the modernity of Yannick Alléno's French cuisine and the Japanese tradition of Yasunari Okazaki, has been awarded two stars in its first year. At Monte-Carlo Beach, Elsa, sublimated by the commitment and creativity of Marcel Ravin, was awarded a star, honouring its quest for sustainable and committed gastronomy. The Michelin Guide thus confirms Monaco as an essential capital of haute gastronomy, where talent and refinement meet.
Two fine distinctions for Floriane Grand at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort
In March, Floriane Grand, head pastry chef at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, was awarded the prestigious Passion Dessert title by the Michelin Guide. In April, the talented pastry chef at Blue Bay Marcel Ravin **, Las Brisas, L'Orange Verte and Espace Calypso was awarded the Trophée Pâtissier PACA, Corse, Monaco 2025 by Gault & Millau.
The Festival des Etoilés returns with a series of exceptional dinners
The Festival des Etoilés Monte-Carlo returns, once again celebrating culinary excellence with a series of exceptional dinners featuring Michelin-starred chefs from around the world. The event kicks off on 10 April with a prestigious dinner at Le Grill*, where Dominique Lory and Pierre Gagnaire reunite after 25 years together. On 20 June, Alain Ducasse and Albert Adrià will join forces at the Louis XV for a gastronomic experience fusing French and Spanish cuisine. On 13 July, Yannick Alleno and Davide Oldani will offer a convivial and innovative evening at the Pavyllon, followed by an exceptional event at the Blue Bay on 18 July with Marcel Ravin and Anne-Sophie Pic. A unique gala dinner will conclude this edition.
A restaurant named Marlow in the Mareterra district
Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer has opened Marlow, a new restaurant in the central square of the Mareterra district. In a chic yet relaxed atmosphere, Marlow offers cuisine inspired by British traditions, while showcasing local produce. Decorated by architect Hugo Toro, the restaurant is open from 8am to midnight, with a menu that changes with the seasons. For those who prefer to take Marlow home with them, the restaurant also offers a takeaway service.

A Robuchon Monaco gourmet restaurant at Le Portier
A new gourmet restaurant opened on rue du Portier last December, "Robuchon Monaco". Here, diners can enjoy the essential dishes that made the late multi-starred chef such a success: mashed potatoes and caviar crab remain on the menu, and the Japanese influence so dear to Joël Robuchon continues to be felt with dishes based on raw fish. As a reminder, two other concepts under licence from the Joël Robuchon International group have opened in recent months.
