Relifting coming soon for the Condamine market

The Condamine market is about to undergo a complete transformation, with a temporary closure scheduled for January 2026 for modernisation work. The aim is to preserve its friendly atmosphere while improving the comfort of traders and visitors alike. During the renovation period, business will continue in the Place d'Armes in a configuration inspired by Christmas markets. The reopening is scheduled for early 2027, offering Monegasques a more modern, practical and attractive space, while remaining true to its popular soul.

A metamorphosis by 2029 for the Villa Sauber

From April 2026, the Principality will embark on an ambitious renovation project for the Villa Sauber. The aim of the work is to transform this cultural space into a veritable centre for the arts. With this restructuring, exhibition capacity is set to increase sixfold, from 650 m² to 4,000 m². The project has been entrusted to renowned architect Renzo Piano and is due to be completed in 2029.

Monaco to host the start of the 2026 Tour of Spain

Monaco, the land of cycling... A fact made all the truer by the fact that the Principality hosted the final stage of the 2024 Tour de France. And in August 2026, it will be the peloton of the Tour of Spain that will come to discover the hinterland with its breathtaking mountain passes overlooking the Mediterranean on the first stage of the Vuelta! Although we'll have to wait a little longer to find out the details of this grand departure, the organisers of the competition are said to be working on a time trial.
