A 119ᵉ edition under the sign of world excellence and Monegasque pride

Organised by the Société Monégasque pour l'Exploitation du Tournoi de Tennis, the event is the first major European meeting in the ATP Masters 1000 category and every year marks a key stage in the international calendar.

Just like the Monaco Grand Prix or the Monaco Yacht Show, the Principality will live to the rhythm of the tournament for over a week, kicking off the Monegasque events season.

After a look back at the 2025 edition, marked by the first victory of Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz and a record attendance of more than 150,000 spectators, David Massey announced that the 119ᵉ edition will open with the official draw, organised on Friday 3 April at 5pm in Monaco. The ceremony will be launched by the titleholder and broadcast live on Monaco Info.

High hopes for Monaco players

Although the final list of the 45 players directly admitted to the final draw will not be made official until 10 March 2026, the closing date for entries with the ATP, the tournament director is already confident that the field for this 119ᵉ edition of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters will be of exceptional quality.

Last year, the Franco-Monegasque pair of Manuel Guinard and Romain Arneodo, beneficiaries of a wild-card, created the event by winning a historic doubles title. In the same discipline, Hugo Nys also made a name for himself by winning the Rome Masters 1000 with his Polish compatriot Jan Zielinski in 2023.

In singles, all eyes will be on Valentin Vacherot. The Monegasque made a name for himself with his first victory in the main draw of a Masters 1000 against Jan-Lennard Struff at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, before confirming his success a few months later with the Rolex
Shanghai Masters. Now 25ᵉ in the world, he advances directly to the final draw in 2026 and will be able to count on the unfailing support of the Monegasque public.

They will also be back with the Davis Cup team in September for a decisive encounter against Finland, with their sights set on advancing to the first round of the Davis Cup Finals Qualifiers.

As tradition dictates, most of the top players on the ATP circuit are expected to take part in this first major clay-court event of the season. Spectators will be hoping for the return of major names such as Carlos Alcaraz, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Novak Djokovic, not forgetting Italian number one Jannik Sinner, whose presence is expected to generate a great deal of excitement among the Italian fans.

Private Monte-Carlo Beach Club for players

As part of its ongoing commitment to providing players with an exceptional welcome, the tournament management has once again privatised the prestigious Monte-Carlo Beach Club, which has been renewed for the second year running as the "Players' Village". Now a truly dedicated haven, this area is once again entirely reserved for the players, their teams and their families, guaranteeing them a living environment that is unique in the world. This renewal confirms the special attention paid to the well-being of the players and fully illustrates the excellence and prestige of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.

Always driven by this concern for excellence, the tournament is further strengthening its facilities: the players' gym will now be attached to the Players' Village and will have a surface area of more than 320 m². In addition, the Players' Village will be enlarged to include a quiet area, designed as a privileged space for recuperation and serenity.

However, the Monte-Carlo Bay will remain the official tournament hotel.

David Massey said: "We look forward to welcoming the best players on the ATP Tour for 9 days of fierce competition, and to welcoming fans in our grandstands and around the world through our international broadcast.

He also added: "We have all the ingredients to deliver another sensational edition."

What's new for the 119th edition

Faced with ever-increasing attendance and in order to offer a better on-site experience, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is innovating. One of the main new features this year is the enhanced spectator experience. In the heart of the commercial village, four screens will enable spectators to follow the matches live. The entertainment area has been completely redesigned and will now feature a giant screen, sun loungers, a picnic area, a refreshment bar and a variety of play areas, creating a real living space within the tournament.

With a view to modernising the infrastructure, the top floor of the MCCC Clubhouse, formerly the press centre, will be inaccessible in 2026. The press centre will in fact be transferred to the Pavillon de la Bergerie: levels -3 and -2 will be devoted to broadcasting operations, level 1 will retain its function as a press conference room, while the 2ᵉ and 3ᵉ floors will accommodate the media.

In terms of technology, the Electronic Line Calling Live system, renowned for its accuracy with an average error rate of 0.02 per match over the entire clay-court season, will be repeated for the second time in the Principality.

In terms of broadcasting, the tournament will enjoy extensive exposure in France, with full coverage on Eurosport throughout the week, one match a day on France.tv and the final broadcast on France4. All three courts will be televised.

As part of its television production, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters will install a system called HawkVision, which involves the introduction of 60 cameras, digitally unified, offering a unique view of the court right behind the players.

Partnerships

Alongside Rolex, title partner, the tournament is proud to announce the extension of its partnerships with Emirates, Maserati, Generali, Adecco, Dunlop, Yokohama, Minuty and Tecnifibre, who are renewing their commitment and trust. This loyalty testifies to the strength of the relationships forged over the years and the continuing appeal of the event.

The Tournament is also delighted to welcome a new partner, the Italian pasta company Rummo, which is joining the adventure for this edition, and to celebrate the return of Champagne Lanson as an official partner.

These partnerships contribute fully to the reputation and excellence of the tournament, by associating its image with benchmark brands that share the same values of excellence and prestige.

Renewed charity action

The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is also delighted to continue its charity initiative alongside BNP Paribas through the "Points for Change" programme, which combines sporting performance with philanthropic commitment.

"Since 2023, the tournament has supported the GEMLUC association, whose mission to fight cancer remains at the heart of our charitable actions. In keeping with the memory of the Baroness de Massy, Melanie's dear mother and much-loved President, we are naturally renewing our commitment to this essential cause.

The funds raised by this event will be used to finance external breast prostheses after mastectomy, pending breast reconstruction for patients treated for breast cancer at the CHPG.
